This is a wonderful creamy smoothie blend of carrots, oranges, ginger and turmeric. Sweetener is optional as noted below; this blend is mildly sweet on its own.
2cupsunsweetened almond milkor plant-based milk of choice
1tablespoonmaple syrupoptional
¼teaspoonvanilla extract
chia seeds for garnishoptional
Instructions
Prepare the fruits and vegetables by washing thoroughly. Cut the stem/leaves from the carrot and roughly chop into 1" pieces. Dice the oranges into quarters.
Add all the ingredients, except for the chia seeds, into a high powered blender. Blend on high for 20-30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into two glasses and top with a sprinkling of chia seeds (optional).
Notes
If turmeric spice is contraindicated for you, omit it - the recipe will be just as good!
