Sunrise Citrus & Root Smoothie

When it comes time to rise and shine, this is our go to smoothie blend. I've combined the orange fruits and vegetables and kicked it up a notch with ginger root and turmeric powder.

I absolutely love the taste of this smoothie; it reminds me of a creamsicle, although slightly more (ok, a lot more) nutritious.  It's smooth, mildly sweet and,  of course, very  creamy.

This recipe takes your average morning OJ to a whole new level, one that I'm sure you will enjoy for its luscious orange taste and colour. I hope you give this a try; it's just perfect for those blurry eyed mornings.

I love using my high powered Vitamix blender for this recipe. It creates the smoothest blend.

This is a wonderful creamy smoothie blend of carrots, oranges, ginger and turmeric. Sweetener is optional as noted below; this blend is mildly sweet on its own.

Notes

If turmeric spice is contraindicated for you, omit it - the recipe will be just as good!
